a good foundation for IES as follows.
- In revised scheme of IES (Engineering Services) announced by UPSC recently,
the exam has three stages.
- Stage 1: In this stage (prelims) the exam is purely objective pattern.Engineering subjects, Engineering mathematics & reasoning are also
included, hence the GATE preparation is nearly 70% of IES preliminary exam
- Stage 2: The foundation on the subject built in stage 1, is useful for conventional (Mains) of IES.
- Stage 3: Interview
- The syllabus of JTO and various other PSUs is similar to GATE exam.
- Hence GATE preparation is very useful for those exams also.
