COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

The company offers attractive compensation package comprising Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, HRA, Cafeteria Allowance, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Medical Facility, Social Security Benefits including PF, Pension, Gratuity etc as per company rules in force from time to time. Engineering Services Examination abbreviated as ESE/IES  is the civil services that meet the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India. Like most countries, the Government of India recruits its civil servants and officials on the basis of merit, the middle management positions in the bureaucracy are filled through competitive exams.   1. GATE-2020: The desirous and eligible candidates having the essential qualification for the advertised posts should have appeared in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 as indicated Essential Qualification & GATE subject with code under Eligibility Criteria and declared qualified by the GATE-2020 authority.

Finalization of Merit List

  1. Candidates who qualify in the interview shall be empaneled in the Merit List.
  2. Offer of appointment shall be issued to the candidates based on their relative rank in the Merit List prepared on the weighted sum total of marks scored by the candidate in GATE-2020 score, qualification and interview.
  3. In case of a tie in the total marks scored between two candidates, candidate who gets more marks in performance (Weightage of GATE score) is considered senior and if equal marks are scored in performance, the one older in age is considered senior for release of name.
  4. Departmental candidates shall be given first consideration in matters of selection.
  5. Only GATE- score is valid for the recruitment exercise in ONGC under this advertisement. Score from GATE-2019 or GATE 2021 or from any previous GATE examination is not valid.

CANDIDATES TO ENSURE THEIR ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EXAMINATION:
All candidates (male/female/transgender) are requested to carefully read the Rules of Engineering Services Examination notified by the Government (Ministry of Railways) and the Notice of Examination derived from these Rules. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

The examination shall be conducted according to the following plan :—
(i) Stage‐I: Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage‐I) Examination (Objective Type Papers) for the selection of candidates for the Stage‐II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage‐II) Examination;
(ii) Stage‐II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage‐II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers) and

Age Limits:
(a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January, 2021 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1991 and not later than 1st January, 2000.
(b) The upper age‐limit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/ Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/Post(s) mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible.
