COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE2022, Group Discussion & Personal Interview. Eligible candidates will have to appear in the corresponding paper of GATE-2022 i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE).
Candidates qualified in corresponding paper of GATE-2022 i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE) shall only be eligible to apply for the posts of Assistant Manager (Power System) and Executive Trainee (Electrical). Qualifying marks in GATE-2022 shall be as decided by GATE-2022 Organising Institute.
Qualified candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in corresponding paper of GATE-2022 i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE). - Selection Process will be based on Computer Based Test and Personal Interview.
- Computer Based Test(CBT) will be held at major cities of Uttar Pradesh te Allahabad. Aligarh, Varanasi, Agra, Kanpur, Bareilly Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Jhansi, Muzaffarnagar, Greater Noida cities etc. Electricity Service Commission: however has the right to cancel any of the Examination City Center and/or add some other cities/centers depending upon the nos of candidates, administrative feasibility, or any force-majeure conditions etc.
- 75% questions shall be from the Bachelor of Engineering level, 10% questions of General Knowledge/Awareness, 10% questions of Reasoning/aptitude and 5% questions of General Hindi Each question will carry one (01) mark Each wrong answer shall carry negative marks of 25% (ie. 0.25 marks).
- If the number of applicant candidates are more, and the exam is conducted in more than one shift/ days, the normalization formula given in Annexure-1 will be used to prepare merit of shortlist/select list. Candidates, who obtain less than 30 % marks in CBT, will not be eligible for further stage of selection for Interview.
- Maximum numbers of candidates to be shortlisted for interview will be equal to 2 times the number of category-wise vacancies. Candidates having equal marks as that of last shortlisted candidate will also be called for interview. If a candidate is shortlisted for interview, then appearing in interview is compulsory, failing which his/her candidature will be treated as cancelled. Engineering Services Examination abbreviated as ESE/IES is the civil services that meet the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India. Like most countries, the Government of India recruits its civil servants and officials on the basis of merit, the middle management positions in the bureaucracy are filled through competitive exams. Age Limits:

Finalization of Merit List
- Candidates who qualify in the interview shall be empaneled in the Merit List.
- Offer of appointment shall be issued to the candidates based on their relative rank in the Merit List prepared on the weighted sum total of marks scored by the candidate in GATE-2020 score, qualification and interview.
- In case of a tie in the total marks scored between two candidates, candidate who gets more marks in performance (Weightage of GATE score) is considered senior and if equal marks are scored in performance, the one older in age is considered senior for release of name.
- Departmental candidates shall be given first consideration in matters of selection.
- Only GATE- score is valid for the recruitment exercise in ONGC under this advertisement. Score from GATE-2019 or GATE 2021 or from any previous GATE examination is not valid.

CANDIDATES TO ENSURE THEIR ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EXAMINATION:
All candidates (male/female/transgender) are requested to carefully read the Rules of Engineering Services Examination notified by the Government (Ministry of Railways) and the Notice of Examination derived from these Rules. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
The examination shall be conducted according to the following plan :—

Age Limits:
(a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January, 2021 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1991 and not later than 1st January, 2000.
(b) The upper age‐limit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/ Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/Post(s) mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible.
